Generally, preliminary alternatives fall within two categories: improvements to existing roadways or relocations of U.S. 30. We have developed two alternatives that would improve U.S. 30 and four alternatives that would relocate U.S. 30 to a new expressway. These relocations are often thought of as bypasses. Additionally, we have developed an option that would directly align PA 41 with PA 772. This option could be a stand-alone improvement or combined with other improvement alternatives.
Here are brief descriptions of the preliminary alternatives that are under study. We will have detailed maps of these alternatives at the public meeting and on this website at a later date.
