PennDOT wants to know what truckers know. Starting today and continuing through the week, PennDOT is conducting "Origin and Destination" surveys focusing on truck travel in the Route 30 East corridor in eastern Lancaster County. The survey will help determine truck travel patters and gain information for the Route 30 Corridor Improvement Study, says a PennDOT press release. Survey areas have been set up at three locations, on Route 30, Route 340 and Route 741. PennDOT is asking truck drivers to participate in this survey by pulling over for a brief interview to talk about improving safety and reducing traffic congestion throughout the corridor.
